Everyone at Druva is proud of the new funding that was announced today. This is another exciting milestone during a time of tremendous growth and development. In addition to Druva’s own “win,” however, is our ability to help organizations get a grip on the number of mobile assets their employees use, and especially on the amount of corporate data that’s in the wild.
For example, in 2011 IT organizations were challenged by dealing with 6,011 terabytes (TB) of data under management; that was a sharp uptick from only two years previously, when 700TB seemed like plenty enough to contend with, thank-you-very-much. But from 2011 to today, businesses have experienced an astounding 10x growth in data sets. In three years. Your car probably isn’t even that old.
The more corporate data there is, the more risk it presents to enterprise organizations – even more so when that data is stored on mobile devices that can be lost or stolen. That’s why Druva is so well positioned to help with data protection and governance solutions for laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
As we celebrate internally today, we’re also reflecting on our leadership within the endpoint data protection and governance space. The infographic below highlights our evolution and development. And now it’s time for us to get back to work providing enterprises the visibility into and control over the corporate data that their businesses demand.
