Druva receives the highest score possible in the product strategy, customer service and security criteria
SUNNYVALE, Calif. ‒ September 12, 2019 ‒ Druva, Inc., the leader in Cloud Data Protection and Management, today announced it has been recognized as a Strong Performer in the Forrester Research, Inc. September 2019 report, The Forrester Wave™: Data Resiliency Solutions, Q3 2019. A 100 percent SaaS provider, this inclusion is a testament to Druva’s industry-leading solution and a growing demand for a new approach aligned with enterprise digital transformation goals. The report evaluated 10 vendors based on 40 criteria, including current offering, strategy and market presence.
“Digital transformation and the sheer growth of data is challenging IT teams to find solutions that can protect enterprise data at scale, while simultaneously reducing costs,” said Mike Palmer, Chief Product Officer, Druva. “In addition to lowering costs by up to 50 percent and simplifying administration, Druva creates visibility and centralized access to data for use across the enterprise, ranging from DevOps to governance, disaster recovery and more. Our inclusion in this year’s Forrester Wave is validation of Druva’s success helping customers realize the next generation of data protection.”
In the report, Druva received the highest possible score in 11 criteria, including product strategy, customer service, global management and reporting, and security. Forrester noted that “Druva’s SaaS delivers immense value and quick time to market. Druva stands firm with its unique position of delivering data resiliency as a service.” Additionally, the report noted that, “Its easy-to-understand solution offers comprehensive reporting,” and “Druva is a good fit for organizations that want to augment existing data protection solutions that do not cover cloud deployments.”
In highlighting the increasing importance of data resiliency, the report noted, “Fast-paced digital transformation has technology and business leaders scrambling to become competent in multiple domains and is forcing I&O leaders to bolster their data resiliency practices. Privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA stipulate how firms can process, store, and use data. Ransomware attacks have increased in frequency, intensity, and impact. Agile application development and new platforms like containers make data protection an afterthought. Multicloud environments, edge computing, and containers distribute data closer to business applications; this scattering of data requires I&O to take a fresh approach to data resiliency.”
Druva’s patented cloud architecture transforms backup data into an asset, making it more open and accessible so customers can streamline governance, improve cyber resiliency, and gain critical insights to uncover opportunities and expedite decision making. Recently, the company unveiled the industry’s first multi-tier intelligent data storage in the cloud, helping customers optimize spend and performance while eliminating disruption to users or applications. The company also recently announced general availability of its Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS) offering for enterprise workloads, which offers automated runbook execution, tighter AWS integration, and simplified orchestration and testing to further reduce TCO.
