Druva Named to the 2024 Forbes Cloud 100 for the Second Consecutive Year

Druva Named to Prestigious List of Private Cloud Companies as Data Security Grows in Importance

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – August 6, 2024 – Druva, the leading provider of data security, today announced it has been named to the Forbes 2024 Cloud 100, the definitive ranking of the top 100 private cloud companies in the world, published by Forbes in partnership with Bessemer Venture Partners and Salesforce Ventures.

Threat actors almost always attempt to compromise backups, with 94% of ransomware attacks targeting backups last year, according to Sophos. Backups are often the last line of defense against threats, and organizations need the right data security strategies to protect the business. With the Data Security Cloud, Druva’s fully managed SaaS solution, customers can enhance traditional security measures to secure and recover data from threats.

“Data threats are continuously evolving, and businesses need help navigating the new normal,” said Jaspreet Singh, CEO and co-founder of Druva. “This recognition highlights the importance of data security and the role Druva plays in helping customers manage cyber risk. We’re on a mission to make data security autonomous, and we’re proud to receive recognition with the Forbes Cloud 100.”

For the ninth consecutive year, the Cloud 100 reviewed submissions from hundreds of cloud startups and private companies. The Cloud 100 evaluation process involved ranking companies across four factors: market leadership (35%), estimated valuation (30%), operating metrics (20%), and people & culture (15%). For market leadership, the Cloud 100 enlists the help of a judging panel of public cloud company CEOs who assist in evaluating and ranking their private company peers.

“For nine years, the Forbes Cloud 100 list has recognized the leading private cloud companies in the world, from AI to work software, infrastructure to security,” said Alex Konrad, the Forbes editor of the Cloud 100. “This year’s list is the strongest group of standouts yet, with revenue, valuations and growth that will eventually make for historic IPOs.”

Druva has experienced tremendous momentum over the past year, with major data security innovations across AI and multicloud technologies to keep customer data safe, including:
